Frequently Asked Questions
-
A standard 60-minute session costs £70.
-
The first session is a chance for us to talk through what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and whether working together feels right. We can also discuss any questions you have and how therapy may be helpful for you.
-
Counselling may be helpful if you feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, low, or affected by past experiences. If you are unsure, the free initial consultation is a good place to explore whether therapy feels like the right step.
-
This varies from person to person. Some people come for a short period to focus on a specific issue, while others prefer longer-term support. We will talk about this together and review progress as we go.
-
Yes. Sessions are available both in person and online, depending on what feels most suitable for you. If you opt in for in person session, we will meet in a quiet and comfortable space in Buckingham, UK.
-
Sessions usually take place weekly, at the same time each week where possible. This helps create consistency and supports the therapeutic process.
-
Yes. I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation so we can talk about what you are looking for and whether we feel like a good fit.

Yes, everything discussed in therapy is treated confidentially. There are a few rare legal and ethical exceptions, which can be explained clearly before we begin.
-
That is completely fine. You do not need to arrive with everything worked out. Part of therapy is helping you find the words and begin making sense of what feels difficult.
-
I work with anxiety, shame, relational trauma, childhood trauma, emotional overwhelm, people pleasing, harsh inner critic, relationship difficulties, feeling disconnected from yourself, hypervigilance, attachment wounds, complex PTSD (CPTSD) and PTSD and adoption and its legacy.
-
Yes. I work with people locally in Buckingham and also online, so location may not be a barrier.
-
If you need to cancel, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. If less notice is given, the session fee will still apply.
